Our Background
Sue & James Lyon are no strangers to real estate. The couple followed the footsteps of Sue's mother (Ethel Carter) and James' father (William M. Lyon) making real estate their careers - each spanning over 3 decades. Both James and Sue are native Mobilians and have a love for real estate that is evident in everything they do.
James (known as Jimmy) graduated college with a degree in building science and built homes in Mobile and the surrounding area for many years before getting his real estate license. He is a Life Spike member with the HBA (Home Builders Association of Metro Mobile). Jimmy developed many popular subdivisions including IronGate, Carrington, Heritage Woods, and the Magnolia Grove Communities- to name a few.
Sue graduated college from UAB with a Bachelors of Arts degree and taught ballet to all ages of students, performing as well. She also worked in various sales and management positions and was instrumental in forming her company’s first Rental Division where she was Department Manager. Sue is an active member of Women's Council of Realtors (WCR) and served as President in 2005, She has served on various committees and associated with BNI (Business Networking International).
Jimmy & Sue are both Qualifying Brokers and Sue serves as Sales & Office manager.

Jimmy & Sue Lyon were drawn to the name and this unique business model of EXIT. In 2002, they jumped on board right away and purchased the first EXIT Realty franchise in the state of Alabama.They loved it's family-like culture, all the tech tools, and support only a franchise can bring. So the Lyon's selected a location and began building their new EXIT brand.
EXIT Realty Lyon has been a staple in Mobile, AL for many years with a growing agent count and market share (proudly ranking in the Top 20 Brokerages in total volume each month). The EXIT Realty Lyon brand expanded into the Baldwin County market and in 2016 opened its doors in popular Downtown Fairhope.
